SkriPs Guidelines for a productive and completed project

We want your experience to be a good one when using SkriPs. We realize your potential in succeeding in the unlimited virtual space on the Internet and wish you only the best in your endeavor to produce a product many will use and benefit from. It is this attitude that brings us together in assisting you to do your due diligence BEFORE you begin any project.

FOR PROGRMMERS : You must be able to do what you say you will do or else face the risk of a bad ranking and/or up to including termination of your account if we have determined that you falsified your capabilities. Post your thoughts and ideas or messages on the message board and use it so you can understand fully what the Webmaster is trying to ask for. Be nice and direct and answer all questions the Webmaster might ask of you and not just short technical answers expecting them to understand you. Make sure you are clear before making any bid.

You should and you agree to give updates on a regular time basis as requested by the Webmaster and show your progress. Long projects can cause for Webmasters to seek answers and if you are not in contact with them on updates, they have a legitimate claim against you. It is important to stress the time of the project in the very beginning. An example would be: It will take me 8 weeks to complete. You should at least once a week give an update on your status. If you agree to the bid and the Webmaster wants two updates a week, then an agreement is an agreement, you must follow it. No excuses.

If the Webmaster requests that you have it set up on YOUR server, then you must have it set up and working on your server before he/she makes final payment to you. It would be a good idea to have this up and running ASAP so that they can see what you are doing along the way. Having a strong communications during the project is the best for both sides and if you are one of those silent programmers who doesn't like to be bothered at all, then you must change your ways and become more customer friendly.

Before you take up the project you must discuss how you will accept payment and how you wish to be paid. We highly suggest using the Escrow service by SkriPs since we are licensed to provide this service and it will provide a better environment to exchanging funds.

FOR WEBMASTERS : When a project is posted by you, programmers are looking for as many details as possible. When you provide these details, you give them a sense of ease for them to be able to offer their services to you, thus giving you what you need. It also shows up in more views with more programmers who will be able to give you a competitive bid because they understand what you want. If they don't understand you that much, chances are they will ignore you and move on. If they ask for more and you don't give it to them, you will be ignored and they will not work for you now or possibly in the future. So, be as specific as you possibly can. Remember, if you forgot to mention some features before, just go back and fill in the additional features field and post it, especially BEFORE anyone accepts or starts a project.

You have every right to request a DEMO of your project so you can see it in action and when that happens, you are able to determine whether or not it is what you expected. This gives you the opportunity to work with the programmer and get things right before the project ends…or you might just like what is going on and want more which you can then post as an additional project to this one once it is completed.

Before you start your project you should discuss with the programmer on how you will pay him once the project is completed. SkriPs suggests using our licensed Escrow service by putting your money into that account before you begin.

TO ALL PARTIES : SkriPs allows both sides to rank each other on this project, so don't be too much in a hurry to rank a person BEFORE the project ends…once you have set this ranking, it can not be changed. Be fair and be willing to give and take on both sides.
